I purchased The 21 point tune-up on Angie's list. I left my gym training session early to be here at 8 since i was told I was the first appointment. Your tech arrived at 1045 and spent 15 minutes on my door. At the Angie's list price of $125, I guess that means your service is worth $500 an hour. For the first time in my life, I didn't tip. I surely didn't get my $$ worth on this one.

I wanted to submit my review for the work done on my garage door to fix a broken torsion spring. When I scheduled the appointment I was given the window of 1:00-3:00 PM for arrival time. Derrick called me at about 12:30ish to let me know he would be there in about 20 minutes, so he was there at my home a few minutes BEFORE the time-frame I was given. To me this was great. I'm a busy guy and it was a nice touch that he got there when he did because I had an event scheduled for later that afternoon, but I really wanted to have the door fixed. In no time Derrick assessed the problem and gave me an estimate for the parts and service he was going to provide, and even gave me the option to upgrade to a 2-spring setup. (I declined and stayed with a 1-spring setup.) Once we had decided on the repair option, Derrick immediately got busy, had the repair done in no time, was extremely polite and friendly answering any question I had, and in general made it a very pleasant experience. Not only did he replace the broken torsion spring but he also trued up my garage door tracks, lubricated all the points that needed to be lubricated, and in general tuned up the door so that now it runs smoothly, and it's less than half as loud as it was previously. Something I'd like to address that was mentioned negatively in another review was the price of the parts and service. The spring that went in is rated between 30 and 50 thousand cycles, which replaced the original 10,000 cycle spring, so they used quality parts to fix my door. In addition to that, Derrick clearly knows exactly what he's doing - I believe that when someone develops knowledge and skill related to a task that those skills and knowledge are worth something. I had no qualms paying what I did for the parts or labor, and I will recommend Precision Garage Door of Baltimore to anyone I know who needs a repair on their garage door. Thanks Derrick for hooking me up! Service was quick, professional, and it took a load off of my mind knowing that the door was repaired correctly with parts that are warrantied, and will last for years and years to come.
