Conversation started with: "These garage doors, pulleys, cables, and motors are 20 years old and are worn out." He started by trying to replace both garage doors with entirely new systems. At that point, I had no trust whatsoever of the technician trying to help me. It was all about how stupid I was to bite for a $12,000+ bill. I told him to write me up for the minimum service charge and leave. He asked what I wanted done. One set of door springs. He insisted on replacing the cable and 4 pulleys. I probably should have just said thanks and let him go. Previously I had worked with troubleshooters on my side vs used car salesmen from Precision. I don't know if that is what you now expect from your salespeople, but it was definitely a different experience and I will be sharing that with my friends and neighbors. My minimum recommendation totally resolved my problem (completed 45 minutes after arrival). Given the beginning of the conversation, I still feel like I was taken advantage of rather than helped to resolve the problem with least expense. Is your new company philosophy to prey on unknowing customers? Seems so. Shame on you. You made a lot on this visit. Probably will look someplace else for service next time, and certainly whenever I need a replacement for the whole system. Reputation definitely not what it used to be.

I had a fantastic experience with Bobby from Precision Doors. My garage door was stuck closed, one track was bent and it refused to open trapping my car inside. He was prompt, arriving exactly when he said he would, and was very professional. Instead of immediately pushing for expensive replacements, he clearly explained the issue and offered a few different repair options. He worked quickly, ensured the door was safe and balanced. The door has never worked better. It is quieter now than it was when it was brand new 16 years ago.

Bobby Schoar was our technician. He was prompt, very professional and really knew what he was doing. He was very good at explaining what we needed and why. We had new tension springs and a new garage door opener installed. He programmed everything and made sure we understood how to access all of the features before he left. Bobby was professional and recommended a tune up, which had never been done to my knowledge. The door had jammed the day before, but overnight last night, the door resumed to the open position. Bobby took care of it. It works now. He retooled both openers, the one I keep in the house and the one I keep in the car. And he even blew the dust and debris from the garage. And he lowered the mechanism to close the garage door so that I can reach it. I have shrunk four inches since the garage door was installed about 20 years ago! Who could ask for anything more? Thank you for everything.

We used Precision when we replaced our original door openers. The serviceman was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. After we discussed the problem, he explained what he was doing to correct it. We contacted Precision yesterday and they came promptly this morning. Our serviceman completed the fix within an hour. He then explained what he did and how it worked. We are very satisfied.

Easy to get a hold of, quick with appointments, arrived on time, repaired quickly. When I had questions about the repair and costs Bobby was patient and thorough in explaining, and they upgraded some parts + 1yr warranty so hopefully this doesn’t happen again soon. Let's just start by saying I was hesitant to write this review because I really liked Bobby, he was knowledgeable and quickly repaired my garage door which had a busted spring. I didn't get any other quotes, which is my own fault but I did feel the cost was high. Almost $2k to repair a garage door, which took Bobby about 1 hour to repair. Sometimes, you have to pay just for piece of mind. The real reason for the knock in rating was the cleanup. As soon as I drove my truck that day, I found a screw in my tire. The exact screw that was removed during the garage door repair. I had to find a shop to patch my tire (a $45 expense) and also found a piece of broken plastic roller, which Bobby had shown the other piece to me earlier as a demonstration of how cheap those rollers are. I felt like the hurry to finish and get out of there and on to the next job resulted in the failed cleanup of hardware and my damaged tire.
