When closing the garage door this morning as we left to run a few errands, I noticed our 7x16 cedar clad garage door did not close properly. After inspecting te mechanism I noticed the cable ad snapped preventing the heavy door from closing evenly. I called Precision and was greeted warmly, treated with concern and promptly scheduled for a service call within two hours. A Precision technician (Christopher Brown) arrived within the specified time, identified himself and after listening to me explain the problem, performed a 25 point assessment, identified/confirmed the problem, explained the issue and other potential areas that might need attention, provided me a comprehensive estimate and after my approval proceeded to replace the defective parts. Chris was professional, friendly and focused on the task at hand. As a forwarding facing representative of the company, this young man projected a positive can-do attitude, determined to complete the task and to exceed the customers expectation. When the refurbishing of the various garage door components was completed, Christopher explained what he had done, why and pointed out items replaced. The garage door was in need of attention and now operates quietly. rolling smoother with less strain on the motor and closing in a controlled manner. Sometimes you're lucky enough to find a company and a technician that values customer service and places a premium on the quality of the work performed - this was one of those moments and definitely one of those companies. Thank you.

At 82 years old I could no longer get the garage door to open. Thanks to George Harrison, your tech, I now can. He did a great job and was very professional and personable. As far as your company is concerned I randomly picked you from the internet, and since you were giving me a free estimate I chose you. Plus you were local and with the amount of Tech's you have I thought I wouldn't have to wait for weeks to get it fixed. Next day service was great. I would definitely recommend your company. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it while they were there. I called Precision to come help with one squeaky garage door. Both doors were completely replaced five years ago. The technician first tried to sell me on purchasing all new springs for both doors, costing over $2000. After I said that I was not interested in doing that, he said that he could just give both doors a tune-up and replace the rollers, which he said are what is causing the squeaking. I felt deceived that he did not first tell me the cause of the squeaking was the rollers. I talked with him until he lowered the price of the "tune-up" and roller replacement, which still seemed overpriced. I called the company during this time to ask what the cost of the tune-up should be, and they revealed that the cost to me would be $150 more because I live in a "nicer area". Fortunately they gave me a discount to the estimate giving by the technician. The technician also did not follow their policy to have me sign a written estimate before he started work. After he completed the work, the garage door was quieter. However, I noticed that the chain seemed lower than it should be, which was causing the door to jolt upon opening and was rubbing against the pulley. He assured me this was fine. Days later, I am going to have to higher another company to tighten the chain because it is clearly causing the door to jolt open. I am very disappointed with the service. I have never given a poor review prior to any service company prior to this. I felt that rather than helping me, the technician was trying to get me to pay the most money for whatever he could sell me on. I wonder if they receive a commission on sales for service calls. I would warn others not to use Precision Garage Door Service.
