Unfortunately I am very disappointed with your salesperson. He tends to take advantage of senior people with his sales techniques. Persuading me to get a new garage system and selling me an astronomical price. I will never be a customer again with this company. Linda Little littlelinda314@gmail.com

Where to start, I purchased a Garage door from these guys via their sales guy Fred. That said up until he sealed the deal on a $24,000 residential garage door he was Johnny on the spot. From the moment the contract was signed it’s been a S Show. It’s been about a year since signing and here I am sitting, waiting for a call or them to show up to fix the door. It’s been a nightmare experience. I would not recommend this company. They are there up until you sign that contract. Horrible experience doesn’t even start to explain the issues we have had.

Not happy at all with how the service went this time. We called because our door was making a popping sound as it opened. Technician said that the cause was the spring was broken and needed to be replaced. During the process of replacing the spring, our wall was damaged. The technician just didn’t seem to take care, also dropping the door multiple times, allowing the door to slam to the floor with force. This just wasn’t necessary. The final straw was how an attempt was made to “upsell” this service visit and replace parts that were well within the service life. The warranty on the spring was also dependent on us doing additional work at additional considerable cost, which seems very disingenuous and a shady practice.

I called for a repair on my Garage door which was installed 5 yrs ago by your company. The male agent that called me regarding my appointment was impatient and extremely rude. I canceled my appointment and won't be using your company in the future. Do better!

I called them based on a recommendation from Genie brand garage doors because my opener lights went out. When they arrived, they said they couldn't fix the lights and offered to replace the motor for $899. When I declined, they offered to service the door for $250. I explained that I didn't call for that reason, but they kept pushing, asking how much I could spend, and offering to break the cost into payments. They even mentioned lowering the price if they called their manager, but they wanted to know how much I was willing to spend. Prior to them leaving, I searched for my replacement motor, which was $199, and a brand new unit for $300; when I advised of the cost, he said that I had to include labor. I said $700 for labor!? When I declined and said I would call back if I wanted the service, they unexpectedly handed me a $60 bill for the visit. This behavior was only from the main technician, Chris, who seemed focused on getting as much money from me as possible. I would not recommend their service again.

I didn’t use this company, as i felt the tech was extremely dishonest with his pricing. I called with the intention of moving forward with a new motor install. When the tech arrived i was in the process of having junk removal and apologized to him for having to go back and forth. He said he understood and said the inspection would take a while so it was no rush. Once i was done with the junk removal he explained the issues with my garage motor. I said ya it’s old in agreement with him. He went on and said everything needs replacement and quoted me , I asked if he made those number up or were they company generated; his reply was the iPad and calculator gives me the numbers. I told him that his estimate didn’t sound right as I’ve done this in the past with a whole new system. He says well that’s as good as he can do. And offered a 5% discount laughable, what’s even more funny was the new motor wasn’t top of the line it was a base model liftmaster at $900 he tried to upsell me by saying that it’s a “pro” install and year warranty Absolutely not! He was very rude and condescending, he continued to ramble on and on about home depot and Loews motors being “DIY” and not professional and will fail in a year or two! Sir you just tried to sell me a shitty motor $109 motor for $900 have a good damn day…maybe try more competitive pricing. Most women are not as dumb as they pretend to be. Do better!

The technician who came was very rude He tried to make me pay a service call fee and then when I refused to do so, he went ahead and pasted his sticker on a spot I didn’t approve. I asked him to please move it to another spot and he responded to me by saying “ we don’t play games” and I am here wondering what he means by that when I simply asked him to place his sticker on a more preferable spot.

On 12-15-21 I called for a technician to come and check my garage doors out. I did not have any particular problems I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. I was told a check up would be $60.00. Well the representative came out and started his inspection, I told him I was not aware of anything wrong just wanted it checked out. When he finished he gave me three estimates $1,285.77 _ best $1,073.77 - Better $769.55 Good. This really disappointed me from your advertisement on TV, until the rep gave me his estimate, I did not realize this would be a scam. I called a local door sales and service company and they came out and inspected my doors. He put two safety cables on the back eight foot door and greased all parts that needed it and charged me $75.00. Now I asked you the difference of $75.00 and your three estimates I think answers my questions. You ask for a star rating but since you do not have a zero category I cannot complete the question. Since it would not go through without a star selection I have no choice but to hit a one.

$1600 for new rollers, springs, wire conversion from Wayne Dalton springs. I was ripped off. Haven't found anybody who has paid as much as me. Lesson learned

My original complaint was I had a broken spring on my one car garage door. I previously had the same issue 10 years ago for the repair price of $250 which seemed fair. This time around the technician Charles told me I needed not only the spring but end bearings and new cables. The price for this repair shot up to $735. He then tried to sell me 10 sealed nylon rollers for$20 a piece. When I declined he offered to knock off $75. i still declined. i agreed to the spring, bearings & cable because I was leaving that day on vacation & needed to get it fixed before I left. The work took them less than an hour. Charles the tech then attempted to open & close the door but the motor only buzzed and did not move the door. Charles then said I needed a new motor which by this time I was pretty sure this guy was a scammer so I declined and signed off on his spring work happy to get them out of my garage. 5 minutes after they left I removed the belt from the motor & tested it where it worked perfectly. The only problem had been the door carrier had gotten jammed on a bolt when the spring broke. Pretty sure a honest garage door technician would know how to troubleshoot this in 2 minutes. This company appears to try to sell you a bunch of things you don't need and charge you 3 times the price. I will not use these guys ever again.

I scheduled a new garage door and opener installation for my elderly mother. Precision has provided exceptional service for us and I have often recommended them to others. Mom’s install took place on 06/03/21. The Installer used another door. This was alright because it was temporary and she was told the correct door would take a “couple weeks”. Additionally, the frame around the door is pieced together and looks bad. The job was paid in full. Soon it will be 2 months and Precision has not come back. They answer my calls and say they will call back but aren’t calling back. . I asked for an email address for one of their Administrators which they have yet to provide (9 days ago). We realize things are messed up as a result of COVID. We understand this is not an emergency. However, a target date and a call back would suffice. I am disappointed in Precision and their poor Customer Service.

Actually I did not choose Precision as your employee gave me an estimate of $704 for a job that should be about $280-$325 - I had done my homework so I knew what the project would cost me.

I would have wanted to give a better review. This was my second time getting service from this company. Again I was disappointed In the time slot they had given me. Once again between 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Just for them to show up at 6:25pm? I called them thru out the day to check on my appointment and same answer was given each time. When I called at 3:35? They said he still had two calls in front of me. I said can you call the tech and verify he will make it. Before she called them I asked if there was a opening the next day, and she said yes between 8am-12pm. I said check with your tech before we make that decision. So in short I waited for the tech. Around 5:45pm? I called again and they said OH HE WILL BE THERE WITHIN 15-20 min. He did show up, the young man apologized for the company and said I was cancelled on his work order. The tech did great work. All he had to do was replace wire cable. 15-20 min and he was done The cost did not match the supplies and labor.

I had a horrible experience with precision, when Tech came to replace my garage door, he brought the wrong doors. When we told him that the door was not what we ordered. He started screaming while finger pointing at us said that we were wrong. After he called his office he realized he did brought the wrong door, but he took our old door out already, he had to put wrong one until he comes back. That was Aug 30th, then 3 weeks later on Sept 30th, he came back to installed supposed to be right door, but again, he brought the wrong door. also, his job performance was unbelievable horrible, many screws wasn't secured, every time we open the door whole frame was shakes, door was not straight, didn't even install safety guard, frame has so much gaps, garage door was kept scrubbing my wood frame (yes it damaged my garage frame)...etc... I do have all the pictures to prove it. Finally, someone else came back on Dec 6th (almost 3 month later) fixed everything the way supposed to be. Means while we couldn't uses the garage door. Infect, I was so scare of the Tect who came out first couple times.

I’m not happy at all. While the initial scheduling was perfectly fine and the confirmation provided a name and face of the repairman who would be coming, unfortunately they sent someone else who claimed to have fixed the door but did not. The garage door is still broke and now when it goes down it make a loud sound and the door shifts when trying to close. The garage door is still broken. The original repair was for the safely feature on the door. “If something is in the way the door automatically goes back up”. Even though there is nothing in the way the door would get to a certain point and go back up. The garage door opener light would flash just as it would if something where there. They replaced both springs to the tune of $722.00 and the door still doesn’t work. I called to schedule another repair and they gave me the name of who would be there and once again they changed repair and sent the same person who wasn’t able to fix it the first time.

I give the service that I received from your company Five stars. Particularly to the technician who served my garage door. He explained that problem, as well as how it could be resolved. I appreciated, this kind of professional approach whenever I have work done at my home. I applaud him! I wish there were ten stars to give him.

Thank you for fixing my garage door opener. But the price for the part replaced was too expensive. The price for "GEAR & SPROCKET ( CHAIN )" was $250. But I can find the same thing at $19 on Amazon. I understand it is usually higher than the regular price and maybe it includes your labor charge. But that's still too much...

You quoted me a repair price of over $700, but another company quoted me $379. Big difference, plus there was no charge to come give an estimate, but you charged $50 (not to mention that the technician showed up at 11:58 for an 8-12 time window). Will never use your company.

We appreciate your comments and will use them in our training. We use only high quality parts that are the best in the industry.

I am appalled that you could charge me $49 to tell me that unless I replaced the springs on my door for 500 you couldn't repair/warrant ur work. Today my door is perfect $13 in parts n trustworthy service from a company with honest employees. You should be ashamed to charge a service call fee for such a scam. You wasted a good part of my day for 10 minutes worth of unethical business practices!
- Mary Franks
The $49 is the service charge to come to your home. Our parts are high quality and installed by professionally trained technicians. We don't "bandaid" doors, we fix them properly. We're sorry we didn't do a better job explaining that to you.

I told your people the exact model garage door opener I had when I made the appointment. Surprise surprise you guys come today and don't install that kind then you try and upsell me by a grand. The old bait and switch which is being reported to the attorney general. Buyer beware.
- Greg Bandelin
Thank you for allowing us to speak with you directly about this matter. We did make some communication errors, and appreciate your time for allowing us to discuss this with you. You now have two very good openers and are able to receive a partial refund from us. We will be out to your home to do a free adjustment to your door, as our way to show you that we truly do care that our customers are pleased with the work we do.

You charged me $50 after your technicians came out, looked at the spring setup, talked to their manager, who reportedly said good luck finding someone who can work on this. I have sent e-mails with pictures to two other area garage door repair businesses who say that replacing this spring should not be a problem. You then e-mail me, having the gall to thank me for my business and giving you the "opportunity" to service my door. While to an extent I appreciate Mike trying to give me options, I'm still ticked that (1) other businesses can replace my garage door and (2) there should be able to provide a comprise between doing nothing and selling me on a new garage door and system.
- Aaron G
We are sorry we were not able to work with you, due to the difficulty of replacing the springs on your door. Our technician's recommendations were not accepted by you, and we will not offer a temporary fix to a a door. We want to provide a safe and lasting repair.

I don't appreciate the game my technician played by calling in his office to get approval to supposedly get me a discount which still cost me $370.00 for springs that only cost $25.00 for the pair. (15 minutes of work) will not be using again or recommending to anyone.
- Virda Hickman-Briscoe
We have standard prices for the springs we sell. These springs are high quality springs-30,000 cycle. The springs you are quoting are not of the same quality. Most likely, they are 3-5,000 cycles. Springs are replaced by our trained technicians, who have learned how to work efficiently and safely. We don't offer discounts to every customer. Our technician was trying to help you get the best and safest repair for your door. If you would like more information about the difference in spring costs, please call our office, and we will explain in more detail.

Not a very good experience. It was a very short phone call after the repair person reviewed the work, I asked for a detailed written estimate for the required work and parts, was told he was going to give it, but have not received anything.
- Nishan Topjian
I spoke with our technician, who stated he called on the way. You were not at home, and told him what was wrong. You told him to leave, as you felt the price was high. He asked that you pay the service call, which you refused. Our technicians are paid by the job, so he made no money coming out to your house.
Lutherville Timonium, MD
I was very disappointed with your company. I gave the information about our garage door opener (model, style, etc)over the phone and was scheduled for the service call. I was told that the technicians had the parts for that brand on their truck and in most cases they try to repair instead of having to replace. My technician didn't even attempt to fix our "old model" because the techs do NOT carry parts to that model on their trucks and in fact they don't even MAKE replacement parts for it anymore! $50 to tell me something that should have been communicated over the phone. Very disappointed at the lack of integrity and communication. I am fine with needing a new opener (not surprised) but the tech literally walked in 2 seconds and told me this info that should have been told over the phone. I could have THEN decided if I wanted them to come out and see if something else was wrong!
- Pam Lloyd
Thank you for your comments. We will use them in our training. We appreciate the opportunity to talk with you about why some of the older parts are no longer distributed.

I am extremely disappointed what occurred. When I called to make the appointment, I told them what type of door opener we had (Genie) and I was told they will work on that type. When the employee arrived, he said they did not work on that type. We still had to pay the service fee. I want my money refunded since I told them what type we had ahead of time.
- Pam Harris
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our technician should have been able to better inform you that some Genie parts are more expensive to replace, along with the other parts of your door that would need repair. We will use your comments in our training. A refund is on the way to you.

I was charged for a service call even though the call was to inspect your company
- Peter Kruus
The service call is to come to your home. We have to pay our technicians and maintain our vehicles in this service industry. Thank you for your understanding.
I had a very disappointing experience with Precision Garage Doors. They charged me an outrageous $1,600 just to replace the springs and rollers on one garage door, and then quoted the same amount for each of my other two doors. On top of that, they quoted me an unbelievable $4,700 to replace three garage door openers! At the time, I felt pressured and in a rush to get the work done, but even then, the pricing seemed incredibly high. Recently, I had another company replace all three garage door openers for half the cost that Precision had quoted me. During their inspection, they noted that the springs and rollers on the other two doors that Precision recommended replacing were actually in good condition, and the price Precision quoted me was vastly inflated. Precision may be easy to find in Google searches, but I strongly urge potential customers to be cautious and get multiple quotes before using them. Their prices feel completely unjustified, and I regret not doing more research before moving forward.
