We chose Precision Garage doors because we have heard some good things about them. My wife worked across the street from your office in Arbutus and she everyone she had talked to was very friendly. They also helped her with the gate to her work. More than pleased. I was updated on arrival times and Bobby was terrific. I was given all my options from temporary to long term fixes. I was shocked the work was performed immediately with the amount of work that had to be done. When finished the garage was clean like no one had been there. We are very pleased with the quick appointment and the excellent service by Tito our technician. Tito was very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. He called to let us know when he was on the way. He pointed out the broken springs and thoroughly inspected all the other parts of our garage door and opener. He clearly explained and showed us the minimum repairs needed and also additional repairs of worn parts that we might want fixed before they stop working. He gave us a separate estimate for the minimum repairs and the additional repairs. When he was done, he showed us the new remote control and linked it to the wi-fi button in our car. Our door works great now and we're very satisfied with the excellent service by Precision.

Tito expertly restored my 20 yr old doors to better than new. Replaced several parts that had worn out and adjusted doors so there are no more gaps at the threshold. Highly recommend this company.

This is now the second time we've called Precision out to our house to fix a problem, and they nailed it again. We got Keith C, and he was absolutely fantastic. Clearly explained everything, gave reasonable and realistic suggestions, and did not pressure us into picking the most-expensive option. He did great, and speedy, work... all while being extremely courteous and friendly the entire time. This was also done during COVID times, and he worse his mask the entire time and was very respectful on that front as well. The next time something goes wrong, we will be calling Precision again, and I will be requesting Keith.

Called Precision Garage Door at 7:30 am, Service Tech (Marcus) came to my house the same day. He arrived and completed the repair much faster than expected. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. Thoroughly explained the problem, the different repair options, and the best recommendation for my situation. Reasonably priced as well. Garage door spring broke last night. Googled garage door spring repair. Precision was one of the results. Reviews were good. Called first thing in the morning. They were at my house within 2 hours. The lead technician (Keith C.) is great. He is very skilled, knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I opted for the "Best" option (replace springs and all moving parts). They completed the work much quicker than I expected. I can't remember when the door operated as quietly and smoothly as it does now. I am happy with the results.

Precision has been there for our garage door service each time I have had a problem. The customer service department was fast and friendly in handling my concerns. The repair tech was on time, his name was Brian. He explained the problem and stated the work needed to put my opener back into operation. He left the area clean and tested the door operation to my total satisfaction. I give your company 5 stars for great service and good workmanship. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone who has garage door service needs. Thank you

Reading reviews at other sites (HomeAdvisor, Yelp, etc.) you'll find that most reviews will say that this company is prompt and that their service is at least adequate. However, you'll also note that almost all complaints are about their prices. From my personal experience, I'd say that those reviews are spot on. In my case, their service was prompt, adequate, and extremely expensive. In fairness, I didn't do my homework as I should have (it's what happens when you get in a hurry), so the prices may or may not have been in line with industry standards. All I can do is present what I paid and let the reader be the judge. So... they charged me $340 for two torsion springs. Research on the net suggests that torsion springs range from $40 to $80 a piece. A set of torsion cables cost me $100. Looking around the net, cables fall in the $10 to $20 range each. Labor and service fee was approximately $125 for about an hours worth of work. All in all I would say their markup on parts is pretty hefty. This seems especially so considering that the online prices I noted above also are marked up (Home Depot etc. also make some profit on their sale - they don't sell their springs at cost). In the end, I feel like I got a bit burnt on this business transaction. I guess it's the price you pay when you rush and don't do your homework. Will I do business with this company again? Probably not - or at least not until I do more research into what the industry standard (competitors) rates/prices are.
