Reading reviews at other sites (HomeAdvisor, Yelp, etc.) you'll find that most reviews will say that this company is prompt and that their service is at least adequate. However, you'll also note that almost all complaints are about their prices. From my personal experience, I'd say that those reviews are spot on. In my case, their service was prompt, adequate, and extremely expensive. In fairness, I didn't do my homework as I should have (it's what happens when you get in a hurry), so the prices may or may not have been in line with industry standards. All I can do is present what I paid and let the reader be the judge. So... they charged me $340 for two torsion springs. Research on the net suggests that torsion springs range from $40 to $80 a piece. A set of torsion cables cost me $100. Looking around the net, cables fall in the $10 to $20 range each. Labor and service fee was approximately $125 for about an hours worth of work. All in all I would say their markup on parts is pretty hefty. This seems especially so considering that the online prices I noted above also are marked up (Home Depot etc. also make some profit on their sale - they don't sell their springs at cost). In the end, I feel like I got a bit burnt on this business transaction. I guess it's the price you pay when you rush and don't do your homework. Will I do business with this company again? Probably not - or at least not until I do more research into what the industry standard (competitors) rates/prices are.

The entire experience, from the visit of your sales rep, to the actual installation was extremely professional and expedient. The sales rep fully explained the choices and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day, which fit our calendar perfectly. The installer arrived precisely on time and was the model of courtesy and professionalism. Watching him work, it was obvious that he knew his craft as there was not a wasted motion in the entire process. He even went above and beyond by installing the electric safety eyes for the opener that had never been installed properly. Kudos to the entire Precision Door Service team. I called Precision in an emergency situation as the spring on the existing door had broken. They were able to schedule Mike to come out the next morning. Although he was not able to service the existing system he installed a new replacement spring system in about an hour. He lubricated all the moving parts. The quality of the new system is excellent and is covered by a 5 year warranty. Good work Mike!

I have used Precision twice prior at my former location so naturally it was an easy decision to call again for service yesterday at my new home to replace broken spring. While cost is always an issue with any outfit, I am confident in the service I get through Precision so don't mind paying a premium. Plus I called yesterday morning and the technician was out by 2:30 pm. and the door was operable in about 10 mins. Thanks again for competent work.

Mike arrived exactly when he said he would and diagnosed the problem correctly in under a minute. He had the replacement gear needed for the repair with him and fixed it quickly, after telling me exactly how much it was going to cost. He also reviewed routine maintenance with me (as he was doing it) so I could do it in the future. Overall much better than I expected, and I'll be using Precision in the future.

I am extremely disappointed what occurred. When I called to make the appointment, I told them what type of door opener we had (Genie) and I was told they will work on that type. When the employee arrived, he said they did not work on that type. We still had to pay the service fee. I want my money refunded since I told them what type we had ahead of time.

We were very disappointed with the original information that was provided on the initial phone call for a summary price versus what we actually had to pay. We were told we would need to replace the torsion spring costing between 120 and $270 minus the 45.00 service fee. Our technician was knowledgeable and was very thorough as he told us we needed to torsion springs and some other parts. He actually wanted to complete additional service work than we could afford. We ended up spending $600 just disappointed that we were told one figure paid another price. We were also told that the torsion springs had a lifetime warranty very disappointed to find out that that was not the case at all. We would ask that whoever answers the phones should know the right information to provide to customers

I called around for estimates and knowledge. Precision had the best price, professionalism and service. The prior company I had called didn't even show up for there appointment. I had a broken garage door spring and when I submitted the work I was called the same day to schedule appointment. Technician was polite and on time. My only reason not to give 5 stars is I expected the spring be fixed that day...it was not. They had to come back another day to do the work.
