I didn’t use this company, as i felt the tech was extremely dishonest with his pricing. I called with the intention of moving forward with a new motor install. When the tech arrived i was in the process of having junk removal and apologized to him for having to go back and forth. He said he understood and said the inspection would take a while so it was no rush. Once i was done with the junk removal he explained the issues with my garage motor. I said ya it’s old in agreement with him. He went on and said everything needs replacement and quoted me , I asked if he made those number up or were they company generated; his reply was the iPad and calculator gives me the numbers. I told him that his estimate didn’t sound right as I’ve done this in the past with a whole new system. He says well that’s as good as he can do. And offered a 5% discount laughable, what’s even more funny was the new motor wasn’t top of the line it was a base model liftmaster at $900 he tried to upsell me by saying that it’s a “pro” install and year warranty Absolutely not! He was very rude and condescending, he continued to ramble on and on about home depot and Loews motors being “DIY” and not professional and will fail in a year or two! Sir you just tried to sell me a shitty motor $109 motor for $900 have a good damn day…maybe try more competitive pricing. Most women are not as dumb as they pretend to be. Do better!

Bobby was the technician who came to my home on 11/30/23. He was extremely thorough with his explanation of what he felt was needed to maintain proper function of my garage door. Bobby was on time, professional and very thorough. Made existing door open like new and easy to lift as low head space made door opener impossible to install. Now don’t have to leave garage door open because it was so hard to lift. Thank you Precision Doors

Solid work by Chris and assistant. I called Precision a week ago to get a reliable fix for a broken torsion spring on our two car 9' garage doors. Doors and whole opening system is in very good shape and has been functioning fine except for the broken spring. I immediately expressed intent to have springs on both doors replaced since they were the same age at 20+ years old. This was not an emergency/urgent fix. The work was done quickly and has been working well since. Not fully rating 5 stars is mainly based on my own consumer preference for service firms highly focused on customer's clearly defined needs and customer's best interest. I worked for 30+ years for a public utility due to my value for work serving the needs of community/citizens, and learned quality management techniques on how to best meet customer requirements. In retirement, I work in retail at a home improvement company, so I understand the material and labor costs of such work and also know first-hand the pressure to up-sell goods & services to consumers. That is why I appreciate even more a sales/svc approach which quickly focuses on the consumers best interest - meets requirements and is cost conscious for the buyer. The approach by Precision is common/typical; to recommend good-better-best scopes of work starting at the "best" high end. Especially as a senior citizen, my focus was not on a fix well over $1700 for each door to include new track rollers and other parts to make systems quieter (which is not too important to me on a detached garage away from house) and to last for a long time. It took a little insistence on my part to focus the scope-of-work to directly address my needs even though completely understanding more extensive new parts would create less ongoing wear. I did accept a fix on each door beyond the mere replacement of each door's spring; work including some bearing parts. My advice to Precision is to focus on required work to satisfactorily fix the problem while presenting more extensive options if customer expresses interest in a quieter, long lasting solution. That may be a less effective approach for a company's sales, but it is the customer-centric approach which earns customer loyalty and more word-of-mouth praise/referrals. Also about pricing, the cost for the second door was simply stated as the same cost as the broken one; no discount/consideration communicated for Precision already being mobilzed and getting that additional work. A senior citizen discount was not clearly applied as my age was not known before price of options were discussed. All that said, the technicians were knowledgeable and work was done well.

From the first call with Jill to the final installment with Jay everything was handled in the most respectful and professional way. Our garage door would not open. Our regular garage door service company could not come for 24 hrs or so. I remember seeing precision ad on tv. I called and a service rep Jay was there in less than 3 hrs. Titto was my service agent. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He did a great job explaining what was wrong with my system then reviewing the options available to me. Titto was even helpful with questions about cost. He performed the repairs quickly, instructed me on the use of my new unit then proceeded to assisted with programing the new opener to my car. It was a stress free experience, except for the cost. But, every effort was made to make that as simple as possible also.

The technician who came was very rude He tried to make me pay a service call fee and then when I refused to do so, he went ahead and pasted his sticker on a spot I didn’t approve. I asked him to please move it to another spot and he responded to me by saying “ we don’t play games” and I am here wondering what he means by that when I simply asked him to place his sticker on a more preferable spot.
