Tyler was awesome at fixing my garage door. He explained all the ins and outs of what was happening - why the coil broke, things to pay attention in the future, and why my garage had the issue. (Its a decent size garage). He did a good inspection and gave me pricing options. He had it repaired in about an hour. I’d recommend him and Precision to everyone.

Torsion spring replacement: the tech was friendly and did a good job, the review rating is based on price and up-sale tactics. The tech worked up 3 pricing options for this repair: OK fix $684, Good fix $1300, Great fix $1600, with each level replacing more parts (apart from the broken torsion spring) and started to explain them to me. I said: When I chatted online your rep indicated the max price for this repair was $300. He said: Yeah, if you only want the spring replaced. I said: Do that. 1. The spring only replacement wasn't even provided as an option 2. Imo trying to gouge a customer for all that money to replace parts that aren't needed with a spring replacement is robbery. I feel sorry for folks who are unaware and waste their hard earned money. You can google for yourself if these other parts are required for a spring repair, I found they are not. That should be explained to the customer.

They explained everything before performing and didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t need! After the work was completed, everything was tested out, and I was asked if things were done to my satisfaction. That is great customer service! If I had filled this out based on just the technician visit by Jay, it would’ve been 5 stars across the board. However, I just received news from Precision Door that, instead of the promised “mid-week this week” installation, I’m now waiting till 6 May for installation. No good reason given for the delay. Precision Door shouldn’t make promises it can’t keep. This isn’t in Jay as I’m confident he wouldn’t promise something he didn’t hear from HQ.
