Work was done efficiently but I was disappointed that the old replaced unit was left on my garage floor. When I asked about hauling it away I was told they don't do that any more. If I had known that I would have gone elsewhere! Had to pay a junk mover to take it away. Very poor customer service.

Showed up and could not find the problem with my unit. Was going to suggest it was the logic board, which had already been replaced, and then was not able to determine what was wrong. Verified the wiring on the board, made sure the door was manually operational, and then said he didn't know what was wrong and suggested I contact the manufacturer. Paid the service fee, for no real service and I'm no better off than when I started.

Mike did an excellent job, as far as I could determine, replacing the garage door springs & safety cables. However, he failed to address the problem of the door rubbing against the top of the frame when it was raised & lowered. That problem caused the door not to close completely, and left a gap of 2-3 inches on one side of the door. This problem only occurred after the spring broke. Mike thought that the frame needed to be planed. But, after I tried planing the wood, I realized that the door was rubbing across 2/3 of the top frame, and there was no way this was the source of the problem, so I contacted Precision Door, again. This time they sent out the installer, Darrell, and Darrell realized that one of the brackets holding the top roller in place had bent significantly enough to cause the rubbing. After he straightened the bracket, the door opened & closed without the rubbing, and the gap at the bottom was reduced to less than an inch on one side.

Mike C replaced a drive gear & tested door operation which was good. Yet, after a few cycles the door does not open fully. I am currently waiting for Mike C to call. If I don't hear from him soon, I will be calling the office AGAIN!

It started off with me calling different companies to have someone come out to give an estimate. Reading reviews and speaking with the companies themselves and looking at BBB ratings. Precision had very good reviews and A+ ratings with BBB and their staff answering the phones were very professional. UNLIKE ALL of the other companies in the area I called that serviced Annapolis. This is one of the main reasons I chose them. Alan was our technician and he was very professional and knowledgeable when asked questions. He did a great job in a very timely manner and I would highly recommend this company and Alan to anyone of my good friends. Great job and keep up the good work.

Thank you for sending a technician promptly, the next day. I appreciated the "heads up" features of your service. The e-mail to underscore the time and date for the service and the tech's call before arrival. The garage door would not shut. It kept on going up, and not completely down. Though it might have been a simple job for your technician, the fact that the door would not close was a invitation for robbery and/or rodents. Should someone ask for a recommendation, if they needed service, I would not hesitate to mention your company as a reliable and professionally managed service.

I have used Precision twice prior at my former location so naturally it was an easy decision to call again for service yesterday at my new home to replace broken spring. While cost is always an issue with any outfit, I am confident in the service I get through Precision so don't mind paying a premium. Service was requested to address two problems: 1)a door that didn't close completely and 2) a broken part, for which I had already purchased a replacement, that needed replacement. The first issue was almost immediately diagnosed as a door the that was rubbing against the lower part of the door frame. The frame was lubricated which corrected the problem. Long term it was suggested that the frame be sanded to provide more clearance (which I'll do soon). 2) The replacement part was installed by disassembling the guide tube, slipping on the replacement guide and re-assembling the guide tube and adjusting the chain. Adjusting the door to the proper up and down range took some doing but was ultimately done well. Mike (I don't know which one) was knowledgeable, patient and carful in the way he approached the work. By the way, I searched the internet for someone to call for the repairs and selected Precision because of the emphasis the web site placed on quality products used for replacement and repairs, as opposed to an emphasis on low price.

Mike arrived exactly when he said he would and diagnosed the problem correctly in under a minute. He had the replacement gear needed for the repair with him and fixed it quickly, after telling me exactly how much it was going to cost. He also reviewed routine maintenance with me (as he was doing it) so I could do it in the future. Overall much better than I expected, and I'll be using Precision in the future.
