Service was requested to address two problems: 1)a door that didn't close completely and 2) a broken part, for which I had already purchased a replacement, that needed replacement. The first issue was almost immediately diagnosed as a door the that was rubbing against the lower part of the door frame. The frame was lubricated which corrected the problem. Long term it was suggested that the frame be sanded to provide more clearance (which I'll do soon). 2) The replacement part was installed by disassembling the guide tube, slipping on the replacement guide and re-assembling the guide tube and adjusting the chain. Adjusting the door to the proper up and down range took some doing but was ultimately done well. Mike (I don't know which one) was knowledgeable, patient and carful in the way he approached the work. By the way, I searched the internet for someone to call for the repairs and selected Precision because of the emphasis the web site placed on quality products used for replacement and repairs, as opposed to an emphasis on low price.

Mike arrived exactly when he said he would and diagnosed the problem correctly in under a minute. He had the replacement gear needed for the repair with him and fixed it quickly, after telling me exactly how much it was going to cost. He also reviewed routine maintenance with me (as he was doing it) so I could do it in the future. Overall much better than I expected, and I'll be using Precision in the future.

Called in for a service call since my existing garage door opener was broken. Barry came out on time, and gave me a half hour heads up on his arrival time. He assessed the issue, and provided several options, including replacing the garage door opener. Upon selecting a new opener, he had it installed within a hour. Technician arrived in the window provided and gave me a courtesy call 1 hour before arrival. Barry explained what I needed and made the cost of each component clear. After completing the repair, he then walked me through what he did. Barry was also kind enough to repair a garage opener light that had not been working for months (at not cost). Overall I was very impressed and would highly recommend Barry and Precision Door.

Okay, so the first impression was they are not going to accept any coupons! Selected from Angie's List. It was late on Friday, the other garage door repair dealer was closed for the weekend. You were able to service the next day. The technician, Mike, was top-notch. Professional, polite and explained in detail the operation of my door and how to provide regular maintenance that could help avoid future problems. Interestingly enough, operationally our very noisy door suddenly became quiet after Mike worked on it.

Precision provided the solution to my garage door issue. The spring for the door broke in half, trapping my car. From making the appointment to the arrival of the technician assigned, everyone at Precision was very professional. Would have rated them a 5 had they come out the same day. Mike C replaced the spring in no more than 30 minutes and our car was freed. Would recommend Precision for sure!!
